Get everything from Ms. Baker in writing. She stated that my divorce should cost no more than $3,000. At the conclusion of it all, it ended up costing me closer to $8,000. She will just send you outrageous bills, that somehow you agree to as fair rates for her services. My ex-wife paid around $2,000 for her attorney for the same case. I do not recommend her unless you are wealthy. I almost maxed out a credit card over the misunderstanding of her rates.
I would not recommend this lawyer to represent anyone that is going thru a divorce. In my opinion she has poor listening skills, she is unethical and dishonest. Marcie spent more time arguing with me instead of for me. Most of the time it felt like she was my spouses attorney and not mine. I never got an itemized bill until after I demanded it after she fired me because I wouldn’t agree to her recommendations. Once I got the itemized bill I thought it was pretty convenient that there was only a little over a hundred dollars left of the $7500 she received. This is unethical and dishonest practice.
