My story begins with the meeting of a plumber and a secretary at a doctor's office -- my father and mother. All they ever wanted me to do was to become a Lawyer. So, here I am. I was born to Hugh and Vernell Wyeth on April 27, 1959 at the old Copley Hospital in Aurora, Illinois.
After attending West Aurora High School (Classs of 1977), and the University of Illinois (Class of 1981 -- Accounting), I moved back to my parent's home and commuted via the Burlington Northern to the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. I also passed the CPA Exam during my second year of Law School -- that was busy fall. My course selection was heavy on estate planning an business courses with my intention -- from the very beginning, 33 years ago -- of counseling people about their estates and businesses.
I still do today.
One of the biggest changes that I have found is the ability to counsel people "at a distance" because of the internet. I enjoy using email and the web to be available to clients regardless of where they live in Illinois.
