Lian, Zarrow, Eynon & Shea is a law firm with an office in Worcester, MA. At this office location, there are 7 lawyers practicing personal injury, family law, criminal defense and 6 other areas of law.
Upon initial contact, I answered a series of questions pertaining to my situation and need for legal counsel. Upon first meeting, I was asked the same questions again in person, and charged 2x. When questioning Atty. Shea about this, he indicated that he was just being "thorough," which at the time I thought was a good thing -- both for his benefit of comprehending the circumstances of legal matter to better represent me, as well as my benefit as the client to be represented. However, ultimately, this was just a ploy to overbill time. With additional legal services, I found this practice to be fairly common, and I had to go through every invoice with a "fine-toothed-comb" to weed out erroneous charges... It seemed as if I was billed an extra $0.50 for the pickle he order for lunch, or extra $50.00 for the potato chips that came with his sandwich that he didn't eat -- ok, I'm exaggerating here, but hopefully this helps someone else out so they understand the frustration.
Poor billing practices over charges Will give yours case to an associate and then get rid of you after they run you,re bill up. Will violate contract to protect himself.
This lawyer claims to be knowledgeable about mental illness. Really? My late brother suffered from depression, bi-polar, anxiety and drug use. Yet, knowing this ( it was quite obvious ), she led him thru a court case and discovery process, took almost 20K from him, made the rest of the family pay another 20K in lawyers fees so that he could sue his own family for inherited property. We chose to settle because we wanted to spare our parents from more emotional distress. My brother passed from drug use. I called her to see if she had been judicious enough to have prepared a Will for him. She ignored my calls, e:mails. Now I'm holding the bag taking care of his Estate with no Will to my knowledge ( and evicting the squatters that took over his house during Covid ). My brother passed over a year ago.... Crickets from her !!!! Who takes money from a depressed/emotionally troubled immature child? Not anyone who prides herself on having "experience: in the mental health field. PATHETIC !!!
Client beware typical big business will get all they can out of you then strong arm you and sell you out. Runs up your,e bill to break you.Will not give you all your files and documents back to protect themselves from malpractice. He is now with mirick Oconnell front st Worcester. Writes the contract to protect himself but will violate it
