We engaged this firm for a business matter. The attorney assigned was initially responsive, but as the days grew into weeks, he increasingly missed self-imposed deadlines he set for our case, with poorer communication as time went on. Multiple grammar errors in his public responses to the opposing counsel. When asked for a different lawyer from the firm, a partner decided we weren’t worth the trouble and referred us to others - 3 weeks and thousands of dollars lost with them.
Within a week of signing on for representation, we were handed off to another lawyer. He missed our 45 day deadline to be back in court and we didn't get into court for 5 months. After 7 months he has yet to serve the opposition with an amended complaint. Every month it gets put off until the next month because he has a more pressing case. We've paid $40,000 in legal fees and accomplished pretty much nothing. The opposing lawyer is a rookie and running circles around us.
1. Fred was not prepared for our appointment and wasted our time.
2. He was pushing his own agenda rather than listening to what we said.
3. He didn't take the time to make sure my father understood what he was recommending.
4. He gave advice that was incorrect, legally. He prepared a disclaimer of interest for a trust more than 9 months after my mother's death.
From my experience with him, I think Fred is incompetent and my father should get his fees refunded for bad advice.
