Doug and his paralegal Julianne came into a very complicated and critical illness situation with both of my parents. My dad is retired Military and we needed everything from a power of attorney, guardianship, VA information and estate planning. Both Doug and Julianne were incredibly professional, thorough, compassionate and kind. They helped my sister and I make the best decisions for our mom and dad, and got things done as quickly as possible. We're very grateful for them and their help.

Warning - Don't be pressured into selling your home or estate at far less than market value! My sister hired Mr. Cummings to help her after her husband passed away. He and his agent convinced her that it was in her best interest to not list the property so she didn't have to clean or show it. They didn't even put a For Sale sign in the yard. No one but his buyers could up the bid. When I called him with my concerns and he instantly called my sister and told her my involvement would slow everything down and if her home foreclosed, she would get nothing. She couldn't sleep and cried all that night. The next day she accepted the far below-market-value offer they offered even though I had promised to send a higher offer myself. I am not sure what financial benefit Mr. Cummings is getting for selling his client's homes at far less than they are worth, but I did report him to the state board for investigation. He seems to have a financial conflict of interest with his client's estates.

Mr. Cummings was in charge of an estate of a very close friend and neighbor who had been abused by his caretaker. Mr. Cummings did not list the property for sale or take offers on the home. Instead, he sold the property for far less than the value of the home directly to the caretaker, who has multiple felony charges. Me and several neighbors are now terrified to live close to this woman because we are all witnesses in a case against her for abuse. Myself and several neighbors begged Doug not to sell to her, but he didn’t listen. We told him that he could list the property and make more money, but he didn’t listen. Do not trust Doug. He does not have your estate or you in his best interest.

I seriously have to question Doug Cummings ethicis and integrity. I do not feel that he is honest and have witnessed a questionable situation that he was responsible for. He did not have the estates best interest considered and have to wonder what his gain is.

Doug Cummings is not a trustworthy attorney. He is very concerned about making sure he makes the most money possible without being concerned for his clients. His entire demeanor his condesending. Do not waste your time or money hiring him.
