Jonathan B. Isaacson concentrates his practice in the areas of professional liability, general liability, insurance issues and cannabis law. On the professional liability front, he defends attorneys, insurance brokers/agents, real estate professionals, architects and engineers, accountants and a variety of other professionals on errors and omissions claims. On general liability matters, Mr. Isaacson focuses on the defense of high exposure construction claims, resulting in catastrophic injuries and damage to property. In this regard, he routinely defends claims arising under New York Labor Law Sections 200, 240 and 241(6). Mr. Isaacson is also adept at navigating the complex risk transfer and insurance coverage issues which inevitably arise from construction-related litigation. In addition, Mr. Isaacson has served as coverage counsel for both errors and omissions and general liability insurers at the primary and excess levels. Finally, Mr. Isaacson is well versed in the legal, business and risk management issues facing the legal cannabis industry and the ancillary business which service it, and is routinely called upon the write and speak on such topics.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Isaacson served as an associate with a New York litigation firm, where he litigated professional liability, product liability, general negligence and insurance coverage matters. Mr. Isaacson also analyzed complex insurance coverage issues and drafted coverage opinions for insurers.
