Founding attorney, Gerald O. Williams, has been devoted exclusively to the practice of divorce and family law since 1993. He is a recurring author for the MN Association for Justice Quarterly Magazine, is a fellow in the International Academy of Matrimonial lawyers, is a past board member of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and a past investigator for the Hennepin County Bar Association Ethics committee. Jerry works as both an attorney and a mediator. As an attorney, his practice involves all aspects of family law, including mediation, litigation, and collaborative family law. Jerry has a 10.0 rating on Avvo and has been named a Super Lawyer every year since 2006. Avocationally, Jerry can often be found music directing for Woodbury Community Theatre (recent productions include Les Miserables, Mary Poppins, and Spamalot), watching or playing tennis, and playing piano and singing in his church.

Hired Attorney Gerald O. Williams

My husband and I work overseas as military contractors, and my husbands daughter lives in Minnesota with her mother. We are in a unique situation with child support and visitation and I can tell you that I have had piece of mind knowing that he is on our side. He knows the law, responds quickly to emails, and I know that he doesn't let us get bullied - it is no secret the law heavily favors the mother. After going through a bad lawyer, he really was our saving grace. I highly recommend!

Jerry is very professional and knowledgeable. I had two different attorneys on my case who never resolved anything . After researching we found Jerry and that was the best decision I have ever made . My issues are resolved and now can sleep peacefully. I would highly recommend Jerry . He is the best you can afford

Gerry and Jocelyn were great to work with during a difficult divorce which should have been a simple one. They were able to guide me through the process easily, answer all my questions, and keep me calm when dealing with a very stubborn and difficult spouse. I found Gerry through a personal referral of a friend who used him during their divorce and the reference was a positive one. I would recommend Gerry and Jocelyn for anyone who has to deal with the stress and pain of a divorce.

Horrible! He did not know what he was doing though he claimed he did. Cost me tens of thousands for nothing AND got me charged thousands in my ex's lawyer fees. After I dropped him and got new council I won. If I would have stayed with him, I would have lost my children to an abusive ex in a developing country. I would have followed them there are likely lost my life. Please, please find someone else. Very dishonest!
