Michael Tempkins represents national corporations, smaller businesses, and individuals in the area of litigation at both the state and federal level for almost two decades. His practice includes litigating disputes from inception through trial on both the Plaintiff and Defense side, contract drafting, and negotiating settlements where applicable. Michael has substantial experience representing businesses, automobile auctions, and numerous financial institutions in hearings, mediations, trials, and in post-judgment collection proceedings. Michael also defends employers throughout Florida in workers’ compensation and personal injury trials.
Michael practices in the highly regulated area of alcoholic beverage law, including having provided counsel for local breweries’ start-up and continuing operations, and represents Florida’s largest alcoholic beverages retailer. He also serves as General Counsel for the Volusia County Property Appraiser, and as Special Magistrate for the City of Casselberry.
Michael is admitted to practice throughout the State of Florida, including within each United States District Court. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida, an organization dedicated to remembering those lost in the Holocaust and combating prejudice, bigotry, and bullying. Michael also serves on the Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation Rules Advisory Committee, and served on the Florida Bar Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration Committee. He also held a judicial internship with Honorable Jonathan D. Ohlman, Judge of Compensation Claims in Gainesville, Florida.
