My family has used Steve for many many years for real estate, criminal, civil matters. He has done a good job for us. A lot of people make complaints that he's not responsive but my take is, is that he has more than one client, he's in and out of court numerous times a day. He himself can't return calls. You have to call and speak to Jonathan or Brian if they're not out in court themselves too. Melissa is another person to leave messages with or by voicemail. It can take a few days for a response but you have to be patient. You can also contact them by email which is sometimes easiest. I highly recommend Steven D. Smith and his firm for any case you have.
I feel extremely confident when Steve is in the courtroom on my behalf.
He is incompetent and unprepared. Got obliterated by opposing counsel and was not versed in rules of submitting evidence. He showed up to an afternoon hearing impaired. To top it off he padded his bill
Be careful people. This man is a thief. I gave him $370. As a deposit on an apartment that he was renting and because HE took to long getting it ready, I ended up stuck and having.to stay at my old place. Then to top it all off he won't give me My deposit back. I never signed anything nor dis he require this dposit, I have it to him in good faith. I have left him 20 plus messages over the past two weeks and he refuses to call me back, probably because he knows he's in the wrong. I have never in my whole life done business with a more pompous person. I am 10 weeks pregnant and will more than likely end up homeless because of his games. I absolutely do not recommend him. If he'll rip me off, trust me he wouldn't think twice to do it to you.
