Absolutely disappointing! I called for legal advice regarding a property investment instead I was flooded with personal opinions. Initially when I met Mr. Shapiro, I thought he was a nice guy however after my second verbal encounter with him, he revealed his true character. I am a young black female entrepreneur and Mr. Shapiro referred to people who use my strategy to invest in real estate as "bottom feeders." Absolutely horrifying, disheartening and unprofessional! He also made Trump references during our discussion after admitting that he did not know much about my method of investing. What makes this even worse is that he partners with the Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust which mostly serves families of color in the community. Bottom line, we as black entrepreneurs especially in the Bridgeport area have to stick together to invest in our city and push it forward towards its full potential in real estate because they really don't want us to win out here!
