Hired Attorney Kathryn Laffey

Kathy is a terrific lawyer with a great reputation in the legal community. She represents her clients with the highest ethics. I would certainly recommend Kathy as one of the best Family lawyers in Wilmington.

Hired Law Firm

Spent over $4000 on filing paperwork and making phone calls. Charged us for phone calls made with the opposing attorney, yet in other conversations stated that the opposing attorney never returned his calls and even had charges on days she was on vacation !!! Never made an appearance at court prior to ranking up bill. Once received his bill, I immediately fired him.

Hired Law Firm

Expensive, Unresponsive, Unprofessional{para}Hired to mediate a divorce.{para}Insisted that we spend hours working out every bit of math on an unorganized scribble-covered legal pad (and doing the math in her head), rather than using the spreadsheets we had prepared and agreed upon.{para}Did not have answers for questions.{para}Would not respond to any emails that did not lead to an in-person meeting.{para}Unresponsive to requests to return remains of retainer.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
