William Mattar is the founder of William Mattar, New York State’s largest motor vehicle accident law firm. Inspired at a young age by his father, a lawyer in Western New York, William Mattar grew up watching firsthand how legal advocacy could help people through difficult times. That early exposure shaped his decision to pursue a career in law with a focus on helping others. William Mattar earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in 1986 and received his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1988. After gaining experience at another law firm, he founded William Mattar in 1990 in Williamsville, New York.While the firm initially handled a variety of legal matters, William Mattar now focuses exclusively on motor vehicle accident injury cases, including car, truck, motorcycle, and rideshare accidents. With more than 35 years of experience, he has helped build a firm that has represented tens of thousands of people injured in motor vehicle accidents across New York State. Today, the firm serves clients statewide with offices in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany.In addition to his legal practice, William Mattar is deeply committed to community service. He is an Eagle Scout and has long been involved with the Boy Scouts of America, Greater Niagara Frontier Council. Since 2002, he has served as chairman of the organization’s annual dinner, helping raise funds that support programs benefiting more than 10,000 children. He is also active in his church and has held leadership roles in numerous civic and charitable organizations.Outside of work, William Mattar enjoys spending time with his wife and children, cooking, hiking, and volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America alongside his sons, who have also earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
