John Alan High, a native of Columbus County, began his legal career in 1992 and has been serving his community ever since. In 2012, he established his solo practice, John Alan High, PLLC. An avid fan of outdoor activities, Alan enjoys hunting, fishing, and water skiing, as well as watching UNC football and basketball games with his family. Alan earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a focus on Finance and Economics, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1989. He then pursued his legal education at Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, graduating in 1992. During his time at Campbell Law, Alan received the Campbell Book Award for Constitutional Law and Administrative Process and the American Jurisprudence Book Award for Family Law. He also served as an editor for the Campbell Law Observer, focusing on the N.C. Court of Appeals, and contributed as a case summary writer for the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. Additionally, he participated in the Intramural Client Counseling Competition, showcasing his commitment to client advocacy.
