1. Counsel exacerbated the problems between myself and my ex-wife. When I hire a lawyer, I want them to solve problems, not create new ones. Counsel did not use his best efforts to quiet the conflict and allow parties to move forward. 2. The process was extremely expensive, and ultimately took three trips to the Montana Supreme Court and many years to reach a resolution. Although I legally prevailed it was through firing Matt Neill, hiring a new attorney, I have no relationship with children, who were effectively kept from me throughout the dissolution case, and are now adults. Further, my life was kept on hold for years while the case spent years in court. 3. I was jailed twice, and then released, based upon orders which were obtained and then overturned by the Montana Supreme Court or the District Court itself. One would expect counsel to intervene more quickly to prevent bad things from happening, rather than “fixing” them after they occur.
