This man's behavior was disgusting. After the death of my grandfather, my sister (the only other beneficiary) urged me (as the executor) to hire Bob McGrath on contingency in order to sue the fitness center where he died. Bob and my sister were eager to sue, so I hired him in order to re-establish good terms with my sister. He logged $800 in documented efforts (a few hours work) and then for the next 18 months he took no further action, no communication. Then, suddenly and unexpectedly, my sister passed away from suicide at the age of 31. He showed up to the funeral and informed me that the suit would no longer be able to continue because my sister was the only witness. Days later he filed suit against my grandfather's estate for $30,000 because he would no longer be able to continue the lawsuit. I could not believe anyone would be so cruel. We won the suit and he appealed. After 2 years and $11K in lawyer's fees, we also won appeal. It was the most evil behavior ever taken against me.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
