I am writing this review based on my personal experience with Katherine L. Zopf serving as Guardian ad Litem in my case. I did not feel that my best interests as the child were prioritized, but that my moms were instead. She told me that I couldn’t be punished for making an “adult decision” to stay with my dad, so he could be punished instead of me and potentially be put in jail. This statement scared me and made me feel guilty. She also told me that messages I sent to my mom were “hearsay” and not evidence, which confused me. She acted like she had been involved in my case, when in reality she was hard to get ahold of, and had seen me less than five times. Based on my experience, I would not recommend her.
