A large percentage of her practice involves financing, representing both borrowers and lenders with regard to mortgage loans, lines of credit and acquisition financing. Ms. Carr has assisted private equity groups and operating companies from air cargo handling operations and auto dealerships to manufacturers in their acquisition of business operations, both in the U.S. and Canada, and the sale of their companies to buyers. Her real estate background has included representing area developers and real estate investors in their acquisition, sale and financing of commercial real estate.     Connie serves on the board of directors of the Lorain Port Authority. Her involvement has allowed her to become actively involved with community events and public-private economic development, including a multi-million dollar riverfront development project.

    Connie was appointed in 2015 to serve on the Grants Committee of the Community Foundation of Lorain County.

    Connie also serves on the board of trustees of Fast Track Cycling, a Cleveland-based nonprofit that operates a velodrome in Slavic Village.

    For eleven years (2001 - 2012), Connie also served as president of the board of directors of the Lakeshore Community Credit Union in Avon Lake, Ohio.
