Stein Wiener & Roth, L.L.P., with both upstate and downstate offices, represents mortgage lenders, servicers and investors in all phases of real estate transactions and litigation including foreclosure, evictions, closings and R.E.O. resales throughout the State of New York. The firm is currently designated counsel to Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. and F.N.M.A. approved. Howard H. Stein has more than 25 years experience in foreclosure litigation and closings. He has represented the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation/Resolution Trust Corporation (FDIC/RTC) and Federal Insurance Savings and Loan Corporation (FISLC). Our bilingual office manager, Zoila M. Laserna, supervises a staff of more than twenty legal secretaries and paralegals and manages a sophisticated computer network with advanced database and document generation capabilities including e-mail and fax reporting.

Hired Law Firm

Rudest person I ever had the honor of speaking with on the phone was their secretary or operator Miss Stephanie! Not only did she laugh condescendingly at me before knowing who I was and what I needed....she seemed bothered by my call alone. She was rude abrupt and out of line. I am a widow lost my husband fiance mother and father and just got the estate executor position with no knowledge of what's going on she snapped at me and literally was the rudest person. I work in hospitality single mom and need a darn payoff letter that my lawyers told me I needed to personally call for. She told me she's working on it yelling at me and didn't let me finish more than three words at a time. I have PTSD and definitely taken back by this sort of behavior. She was unprofessional and I wish I never have to call them again. Don't use them called all 3 given extensions and then got her after a hold time of 3 go 4 minutes PS I don't know the value for this amazingly awful firm as I would never hire

Don't hire Not helpful at all with anything Couldn't get a lawyer or assistant after many tries Was on hold for 8 minutes I don't have much more to say as I didnt get a chance to speak to anyone multiple times and then hung up on. I would recommend a different practice for sure...they seem to work with the banks mostly anyway

All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
