After my counsel withdrew, the court proceeded using an email-based notice assumption even though I had not filed a pro se email designation or registered for judicial e-service, and there was no verified, auditable service designation in the court’s systems during the relevant period. I repeatedly raised these notice defects in writing, including returned mail issues and lack of CMS contact data, but the record was not corrected before adverse rulings occurred. As a result, I was forced to retain new counsel and incur substantial legal expense to address the procedural harm. Based on my experience, the court did not enforce its own published service and notice requirements in a way that protected a self-represented litigant from a preventable breakdown.
