Hired Attorney

Olga Butkevich represented the opposing party in my civil case. After my attorneys withdrew, she began serving me exclusively by email even though I had never filed a designation consenting to electronic service as a self represented litigant under Rule 2.516. Certified mail was sent to an incorrect address and returned, yet she continued filing certificates stating that I had been properly served. Despite documented proof that service was defective and that the Clerk’s system did not reflect a valid designation, she did not correct the record or alert the court. Instead, she proceeded with dispositive motions that resulted in dismissal without lawful notice. In post dismissal communications, she acknowledged relying on email and implied I ignored it, despite clear procedural deficiencies. In my experience, this reflected disregard for service rules and due process. I would not recommend her to anyone expecting compliance with court procedures and accurate representations to the court.
