Brian Smith has spent the last 35 years serving as a dedicated advocate for individuals harmed by the negligence of others. Currently the managing partner of the West Palm Beach office, Brian specializes in complex personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Throughout his career, he has consistently taken on powerful corporations to protect consumer safety. He served as lead counsel in high-profile cases against McDonald’s regarding undisclosed food allergens and ConAgra Foods following a salmonella outbreak in Peter Pan peanut butter. Brian is perhaps best known for his nine-year legal battle in Doe v. America Online, where he sought to hold the internet giant accountable for the marketing of child pornography. This landmark case reached the Florida Supreme Court and, despite a narrow 4-3 loss, sparked a national conversation that reached the U.S. Supreme Court. Featured in the National Law Journal and analyzed in countless law reviews, Brian’s work in the Doe case has even prompted new legislative reforms. Today, he continues to bring this same level of tenacity and passion to every client he represents, ensuring their voices are heard.
