Nicholas received his Juris Doctor in 2009 from Boston University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in History in 2001 from Cornell University. While at Boston University, he participated in an intensive, year-long International Human Rights Clinic where he received extensive instruction on immigration law, international human rights and humanitarian law, and immigration advocacy, representing immigrant clients in various legal proceedings pertaining to their legal status—including applications for temporary protected status, applications for family/marriage visas, applications for diversity immigrant visa program, and representation of asylum seekers in legal proceedings before U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement.
Before joining Murphy Law Firm in 2018, he was a Senior Associate at Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP. Nicholas brings extensive litigation experience managing complex commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery and Federal District Court in various matters—including commercial transactions, corporate governance disputes, special committee investigations, advancement and indemnification proceedings, and defending against allegations of breach of fiduciary duty and fraud.
Nicholas represents clients in Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Circuit Courts.
