I had a very disappointing experience with Evan K. Hambleton. Unfortunately, I felt my best interests were not prioritized throughout the process. First, punctuality was an issue—he was 15 minutes late for a critical settlement meeting, which set a bad tone for what was already a stressful situation. Communication was another major problem. My detailed questions were never answered specifically, and he rarely returned phone calls or emails. I often felt left in the dark, unsure about the status of my case or the reasoning behind certain decisions. He also requested an excessive amount of paperwork, much of which turned out to be unnecessary. This added unnecessary stress and wasted valuable time. Additionally, he volunteered to draft the rough agreements, even when the opposing party could have done so. This seemed to put me at a disadvantage, as the focus should have been on negotiating a fair settlement rather than doing extra work for the other side. Do not recommend him.
Evan K. Hambleton is a lawyer that does not look out for the best interest of his client. I hired Evan and he never finished the divorce settlement he agreed to complete. Evan made continuous mistakes, did not respond to emails or phone calls and was unresponsive. A lawyer would make conscientious efforts to communicate a client's concerns, act quickly, and do the best job possible in a timely manner in the best interest of his client. Evan did not follow through. I would never recommend him to anyone.
