Our city has Julie Norton for their legal counsel. We should have looked elsewhere. Not impressed with her legal knowledge or her confidence. Other members of the firm have sat in at council meetings to assist her, and was impressed by them. There was an RCW that was to be followed and her response was, "close enough". She informed council that her law firm owned a report because the contract was with her firm and the contractor. That was not the case. Her law firm does not hold it, the city does. The city had the contract for the service of the report and they hold the record of information. She is refusing to give it to council and the public. A city counsel works for the the city not the other way around. It takes her up to 3 weeks to respond to a basic question. If someone from the firm is reading this please step in to help her.
