Hired Attorney

Calling R. Thomas Murphy & Associates (Chambersburg and Waynesboro, Pennsylvania) diffused much of my bewilderment. My first encounter was with a positive, competent telephone receptionist She listened to my narrative, asked a few relevant questions and made her recommendation of one of the attorneys in the firm. The short road to consultation with this gentleman was paved with very helpful and equally engaged support staff. I was met, via phone and front desk reception with courtesy, professional demeanor, patience and an openness that gave me the confidence and comfort I required. When the consultancy took place, it was thorough, thoughtful, firm, very clear and articulate in assessment and advice. Attention, kindness, as well as acumen and competency are my four descriptors of my first experience with this firm. I can, with confidence, highly recommend exploring a relationship with them. It is a speciality niche, they are well-versed and recommended highly in the community.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.

• Notable: This rating indicates that the lawyer has been recognized by a large number of their peers for strong ethical standards.
