Qingdong "Karin" Ke, Ph.D., joined Keller and Heckman in 2011.
Dr. Ke is a staff scientist specializing in toxicology, risk assessment, product safety and regulatory affairs. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) with a Ph.D. in Toxicology and Molecular Carcinogenesis and a B.S. in Chemistry. Dr. Ke has extensive experience with U.S. and international regulations impacting a wide range of products, including cosmetics, household products, over-the-counter (OTC) drug products, and nutritional supplements. She has ensured safety and regulatory compliance of these products with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) pesticides regulations, California Proposition 65 regulation, the European Union (EU) Cosmetic Directives, REACH, EU Classification Labeling and Packaging (CLP) regulations, the Biocides Directives, the ASEAN Cosmetic Directives, and other global regulations. Dr. Ke's expertise also includes identifying process improving areas, providing solutions, and developing strategic models for risk assessment and product review.
Dr. Ke is a member of the Society of Toxicology (SOT) and currently serves as an adjunct professor at New York University (NYU) and a medical school in China. She has authored or co-authored many scientific articles for peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, some of which were selected as the cover of the journal. Dr. Ke is an invited manuscript reviewer for a few prestige scientific journals. She is fluent in English and Chinese.
