After a miserable experience trying to submit a Medicaid application with another firm, I contacted Cushing & Dolan. I initially met with Atty Todd Lutsky and then worked through the process with Jennifer Cunningham. I could not have asked for a better experience through such an unpleasant process. While I paid significantly more for their services than I did the other firm, it proved to be worth every penny. This was definitely a case of 'you get what you pay for'. I strongly recommend.
Mr Leo Cushing set up Trust Planning for my father who then passed away this spring. I have worked with many attorneys over the years so I know a good one when I see them. Mr. Joblin Younger has been my "go to" attorney throughout this painful time in my life, having to manage my father's affairs which are quite detailed. That was a qualified "yes." I feel the lawyers at this firm were well qualified, however they were very expensive, charging their quarter hour fee for even a quick phone or email question. For the ability to be sure that I was handling my father's estate correctly, I spent far more money than I expected.
Mr. Cushing is a talented person. However, he failed to follow up with me on the very matter I had sought his assistance and failed to provide any statement of my account with him. In the end, I did not receive what I had asked for and did not know until I pursued the matter that he considered my request fulfilled and had indeed charged services to the full amount of my retainer. There were 2 meetings, but no product. Time yes, but no estate plan or even a Will.
STAY AWAY!!!! The amount of turmoil and negligence they have shown is astounding. They are rude and disrespectful- not communicating within their own firm and to their clients. Purposely pitting family members against each other and taking advantage of elderly for their own financial benefit is what sets them into a realm of despicable lawyers you will NEVER want to meet. I don’t think our family will ever be the same thanks to TODD LUTSKY!
The worst legal firm I have ever dealt with. Communication is a joke! Stay away!!! Calling, Writing, you get short curt responses. IF they respond at all. Dealing with a death, and then these horrible people, it is a nightmare.
