McKenry Dancigers Dawson, P.C. is a law firm established in 1974 with an office in Virginia Beach, VA. At this office location, there are 4 lawyers practicing civil litigation trial practice, federal practice, insurance and 11 other areas of law.
Being a license attorney for the past 34 years in another state including b a private attorney, prosecutor, and a judge, I am always skeptical of the legal abilities of others. However, in working with this firm, I found not only competent individuals that happen to be lawyers but compassionate, caring people that kept us informed about our case. Particularly Paul Schmeding. Paul not only understood the applicable law and the circumstances in which this was a difficult case, but also all of the personal and particular dimensions of our case. Shawn helped me successfully navigate a complicated, emotional conflict with a merchant who defrauded me. It was my first time working with an attorney about a personal matter and it was as good of an experience as it could be. Shawn was understanding, empathetic, responsive, and rational throughout our entire journey. The issue resulted in the merchant meeting the terms of our (extremely well crafted) demand letter and avoiding court. I felt that Shawn understood me and my concerns. He took additional time to ask me what I wanted to do, present me with options, and recommend the best course of action. For this particular issue, there was no lawyer I wanted to have more than Shawn because of his previous experience with the merchant and he was understanding of that, despite me being one of Shawn's smaller clients (I'm sure). It meant a lot to me to have him on my side and I felt fully supported. I recommend Shawn emphatically.
