Harry Jernigan CPA Attorney, PC is a law firm established in 1988 with an office in Virginia Beach, VA. At this office location, there are 3 lawyers practicing tax law, tax fraud, bankruptcy and 11 other areas of law.
Straight forward service, excellent explanations of the laws involved, creative and cooperative in arranging fees for service.
Harry Jernigan's office provided professional services to my husband and I with our tax issue. One of the biggest problems in our life was resolved when we owed the IRS. Harry is pleasant and kind. His CPA Ms. Comardo is very aggressive because she has to be when dealing with the IRS and tough issues but she was knowledgeable and a brilliant lady. Even though she is aggressive I would gladly give them my money at anytime because they know their stuff. I would hire them again and again had their office not retired. Really helped us out of a bad situation. Thank you to this team.
While I have dealt with many lawyers, this has been the worst experience. I’ll try state things shortly: - Rarely returns calls or emails, although callbacks are promised by the secretary all the time, resulting in needing to call 3-5 times before getting someone on the phone. This got old eventually. - There were unclear charges on my invoice I needed clarity on (I am always willing to pay promptly, I just had questions). When I called I got told I had “an attitude” for raising these questions and feeling frustrated with my experience, he jokingly mocked that he would also charge me for this financial discussion phone call. He said that it is "taking too long and taking time I don't have." I was also threatened that he would add charges to my invoice of work he apparently did behind the scenes but never originally charged me for nor included in my invoice. As a client, I felt like this firm did not have any respect for my time, nor really cared. This review was my personal opinion.
I have a ton of experience with attorneys. I own several businesses and relay on knowledgeable Attourneys to help guide me. Harry Jernigan is the absolute worst and does not deserve to have a license. He will not return your calls after he has you sign his retainer agreement, will over charge you and lead you in the wrong direction. After months of not having my calls answered, I would have to go tot the office to beg to be seen only to have the receptionist turn me away. Please RUN do not walk away from this business.
Horrible . Did not listen or even try to help. Do not use him. All he wants is your money. Should be disbarred.
This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Never listened to concerns of beneficiaries and allowed property to fall into disrepair. Did not negotiate and dispose of the property in a reasonable way. I do not recommend.
