Vaughan, Fincher & Sotelo, PC is a law firm established in 2003 with an office in Vienna, VA. At this office location, there are 6 lawyers practicing estate planning, trusts and estates, federal estate and gift taxation and 39 other areas of law.
Dan is the best (and I have known lots: divorce, QDRO, accidents, corporate lawyers). He is patient:professional, communicates well and get things done correctly, honoring agreed fee agreements. However, what makes him stand out is his compassion and he truly cares. Dan/his firm helped me with my will, trust, etc. I paid the agreed fee and they did a fabulous job of putting everything I desire in my will, trust, etc. Most good lawyers stop here, but not Dan. Recently I emailed him about my QDRO lawyer wanted me to pay more $ to subpoena my ex’s retirement plan when I have already paid the firm fixed price and subpoena is part of the QDRO process (especially when your ex is an a** h***). I didn't even know if Dan would respond (QDRO is not his area). But, he responded with a long, caring email to comfort me and give me advice, encouragement and support! I feel lawyers see us like ATM and charge every min we talk to them. Dan does not and he really cares!
I am surprised that no clients reviewed Dan on his wonderful work. Maybe because of Dan’s specialty area: estate planning — so most of Dan’s clients are well established (Translate: old. lol) and don’t want to be bothered with writing a review. My friend recommended Dan to me. (but i still grilled him and checked him out during our initial discussion). My experience with Dan/his firm (george is another lawyer I worked with later) are very positive. I think they may be tiny bit pricier, but you get what you pay for: timely response, well organized, great work with only a few minor changes, and nice offices, knowledgeable assistants/paralegals (?), friendly front desk lady, etc). If you are like me, like to read reviews (despite your friends’ strong recommendations) and comparing prices for estate planning, time to stop reading (and hoping to save a few dollars) — just go to Dan/Geirge to get your estate planning done already. lol
