He was very judgemental and opinionated, even before hearing the facts on our case. He didn't listen to what we needed him to try to research for my husband and I. He let his own feeling on how he felt get in the way of what he was hired to accomplish for us. We never got from him what we needed. Very poor communications on his part. He did admit in the end that we were wasting our money and that there was nothing more he could do for us.
He was very honest with us in this regard.
Avoid William Ball, unless you're looking for a milquetoast middleman who masquerades as a lawyer. I had the misfortunate of hiring him from Beaty Hatch during my dissolution. I went in the assumption that he was going to fight for me and resolve the dissolution in a timely fashion. That is all I asked for in our initial meeting, regardless of the outcome. That never happened any point during the dissolution. Two months in, I was so baffled by his unresponsiveness and lack of interest in the case (he'd routinely take days or weeks to reply to even simple questions, if he's respond at all) that I asked him what additional compensation would incentivize him, to which his secretary replied that she would print out my last email for him. Imagine hiring a lawyer for 300 USD / hr who is so disorganized that he can't even keep track of client emails and needs a secretary to hold his hand. Well, you don't need to imagine. You can just hire William Ball.
This guy is a joke. We came to him with the intent to have him look over a purchase agreement for a home sale. We asked him if he could contact the seller's lawyer so that we could finalize the purchase agreement that was already drawn up by him. All he did was hummed and hawed about what if this or what if that. After asking him four times he still never picked up the phone to get the purchase agreement and look it over. We left with nothing solved and $260 out of pocket which we could have been spent on something worthwhile. Don't waste your time and money, find yourself a rookie attorney who is willing to work for you and not just collect your hard-earned money.
