Millbranth & Bush is a law firm with an office in Valparaiso, IN. At this office location, there are 3 lawyers.
Millbranth and Bush law handled my divorce against a supposedly big firm and did it with excellence and professionalism that ended up showing in the end ! I would refer anyone that wants to be straight forward with them to know they are truly straight forward with your case and do really care for the best outcome overall .
Steve bush is a terrible attorney who took my money to perform a home visit in my child custody case and I specifically asked him to take pictures and video of the living conditions of my two sons.. after the visit he said he was too embarrassed to take pictures and video and his word was enough.. he agreed to get pictures and videos thats what I paid for not his options..
Predatory charges. Steven Bush works in the best interest of his wallet, not his client. He gave a "COVID discount" on his retainer, because he knew I had just received a stimulus check. The only thing that was written up in a timely manner was the initial attorney/ client contract. He was trying to force my case to go to court; even though an agreement was reached during mediation. When I questioned some of his trumped up charges he 'fired' me as a client. I was out my retainer plus $400 of excess charges. I received less than minimal service. The documents that I did receive from his office were riddled with errors. If you're looking for an amicable and competent resolve he's not the lawyer for you. In my opinion, lawyers like him are exactly why our family courts in Indiana are corrupt. I do not recommend this law firm.
If there was a negative star, I would choose that option. He does nothing and does not care about children or families. He makes empty promises and sounds encouraging but does nothing to help his client. DO NOT HIRE HIM!!
If I could give Steven Bush a negative score I would. He honestly deserves criminal charges for his predatory business practice. He gave me a "COVID discount" on his retainer fee because he knew I had just received a stimulus check and lived paycheck to paycheck. The only document he had written up in a timely manner was the initial attorney/ client contract. He tried to force my case into court, and wrote in an email that my son's father needed to "play ball". When a custody agreement was amicably reached, Steven Bush could not deliver on writing up the agreement. I believe he did it in hopes that we'd still take it to court. I received a bill from him before I ever received the agreement. When I questioned him on his charges he fired me as a client. The unfinished document that I did receive from his office was riddled with errors. I strongly do not recommend. Lawyers like him are why Indiana family courts are corrupt.
In the beginnng he tells you, you have a good case and to move forward. He then does not return phone calls and does not put up a fight for the best interest of the child involved. He also sent us a bill almost 2 years after for court fees ( $219.97 ) because he did not finish the paper work years ago. Do not recommend!
Sent an email to start the communication process concerning, as expressed, a time sensitive subject concerning my mother's will going thru probate. Did not even give me the courtesy of a response. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. LOOK ELSEWHERE.
