Carter Lyons joined the Consumer Justice Center in late 2022, but his connection to the legal world goes back much further. As a third-generation attorney, he is carrying on a proud family legacy started by his grandfather and continued by his father. It’s clear he is eager to live up to that reputation, as he’s already working hard to establish himself as a fierce and respected litigator in the consumer protection space. Carter spends his days helping clients navigate the often-confusing world of consumer rights, ensuring they have a strong voice against unfair business practices. When he isn’t at the office building his career, Carter stays incredibly active. He is a big fan of sports like hockey, tennis, and golf, and he loves getting out on the water for some wake surfing. He also recently celebrated a major personal milestone with his engagement and enjoys traveling whenever he gets the chance. For Carter, it’s all about balancing that high-energy drive in the courtroom with quality time spent with his friends, family, and his new fiancé.

Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are the gold standard in attorney ratings, and have been for more than a century. These ratings indicate attorneys who are widely respected by their peers for their ethical standards and legal expertise in a specific area of practice.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
