About Michael P. Atkinson, P.C.

Mike Atkinson practices as a trial lawyer and is primarily involved in handling commercial litigation and cases involving insurance bad faith and products liability. Following graduation from the University of Oklahoma College of Law he was associated with a law firm, before serving as an Assistant Public Defender and later as an Assistant District Attorney in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. In 1975, he received his Master of Laws in Antitrust from the University of Texas College of Law at Austin, after which time he returned to Tulsa and began representing clients in a variety of cases.

During his career, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tulsa College of Law and was a faculty member at the Insurance Counsel Trial Academy. Mr. Atkinson has served as State Chair for the American College of Trial Lawyers and President of the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He continues to be listed as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer in Oklahoma Super Lawyers and in The Best Lawyers in America. In 2009, he was named as the “Tulsa Best Lawyers Personal Injury Litigator” of the year.
