The way Mark Lyons treats his clients is unacceptable. He sent his client, Ann Sitz’s, money to a scammer and now he is refusing to take responsibility for his actions. Do NOT hire Mark Lyons. He was sure to keep his $90,000 but doesn’t care that he sent his client’s money to a scammer.
Mark D Lyons, attorney in Tulsa, OK, represented me in a personal injury suit and I was awarded $247,000 which went into his Trust Account. Mr Lyons carelessly wired my share if the funds to a NYC bank and funds were returned. Mr Lyons did not question why. He then sent the money to another NYC bank without any questioning. His email had been hacked. His insurance carrier has declined his cybersecurity claim and he refuses to pay me. How do I go about getting my money? He kept his $90,000 portion of my award.
I hired Mark Lyons to represent me against a car dealership where I tripped on a cord, fell, and broke my hip. Two years , June, 2021, later Mr Lyons negotiated a settlement of $247,000 for me. I was happy and pleased with Mr Lyons services.i signed an agreement for the proceeds to be deposited in his Trust Account and disbursed to me within 5 days. As of this date, October 15, 2021, I have received $0. Mr Lyons email was hacked and he negligently wired my $127,000 to an account in NYC. The funds were returned to his bank. Lyons received another email from the hacker that was gobbledygook about another bank account in NYC. Without and investigation or noting that the email address was different from my email, he wired the money a second time. He now refuses to pay me. I always thought that a Trust Account was just that. I could 'trust' that I would receive my money. Mr Lyons failed in his fiduciary responsibility and deserves the poor rating.
