Chris is a dedicated trial and appellate attorney with a devoted focus on adoption and family law. He launched his legal career in criminal defense at the Tulsa County Public Defender's office before moving into private practice. Chris has represented clients across Oklahoma, including federal courts, and in Arkansas in various litigation matters. His legal acumen extends to worker's compensation and complex civil litigation. Noteworthy achievements include securing landmark rulings from the Supreme Court of Oklahoma in Jensen v. Poindexter and Schnedler v. Lee, with the latter recognized as the Groundbreaking Family Law Case of the Year in 2020. In 2021, Chris made headlines by obtaining the state’s first gender nonbinary birth certificate in the federal case Lorelied v. Frye. Active in the legal community, he serves as Secretary for the OBA's Family Law Section and has chaired the Adoption Committee. Chris earned his B.A. in journalism-broadcasting from Oklahoma State University and his law degree from the University of Tulsa, where he contributed to the Energy Law Journal.
