About Gerald Maltz

For over 40 years, Mr. Maltz has represented businesses and individuals in a wide variety of civil litigation, including entity disputes, antitrust, securities litigation, business torts, trade secrets, unfair competition, real estate litigation, condemnation, employment litigation, and major injury cases.

Mr. Maltz is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has served as an instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and the Pima County Bar Trial Advocacy Program.

Mr. Maltz has served extensively as a private mediator and arbitrator in a wide variety of cases. And he has served as expert witness in the areas of attorney's fees and legal malpractice (plaintiff and defense). He has presided over jury and bench trials as a Judge Pro Tem of the Superior Court since 1983 and has served as a Discovery Master.

Mr. Maltz has been named by peers as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the areas of business litigation (all editions), bet-the-company litigation, and labor and employment law, one of the Finest Lawyers in Arizona in the area of commercial litigation, and one of the Southwest's Super Lawyers in business litigation. He is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Maltz was a member of the Arizona State Boxing Commission (1979-1985) and served as its Chairman. He began his legal career in New York after graduating cum laude from New York Law School in 1968 where he was a law review editor. He was admitted to the Arizona Bar in 1977 and has been a member of the firm since then. He is the President of the firm and has served as a Director.
