The Gisonni Law Firm, P.C. consists of solo practitioner Eve-Lynn Gisonni, Esq. and her secretary Kari Labadie. Gisonni was overwhelmed by my litigation and was not prepared to take it to trial. She stated to me that my case had taken "years off [her] life." Communication. (1) Telephone conferences had to be scheduled and topics identified. I was billed for "preparation" of telephone conferences. (2) Gisonni and I would discuss various matters and agree to various things. Subsequently, Gisonni would send e-mail contradicting or changing our agreements. Billing. I repeatedly asked for regular monthly statements. I never got them. Settlement. The decision to settle a lawsuit or proceed to trial rests with the client. Gisonni thinks otherwise. She tried to force me to settle my lawsuit. Discharge. After fully litigating my case, Gisonni stated that if I did not settle the case, she would not try the case. I almost filed a grievance. Gisonni was discharged and I settled the case.
