This review is being submitted based on Attorney Michael J. Olcese’s conduct in a landlord-tenant dispute where he represented the defendant. Mr. Olcese’s involvement in the case raised serious concerns about professional ethics and legal integrity. During the course of litigation, he threatened to file a counterclaim alleging improper pet fees related to an emotional support animal—despite acknowledging in writing that the claim lacked merit. His email stated, “I did not expect you to find the countersuit to be valid, but your client's court costs will be a lot higher if we proceed that way…” This appears to be a deliberate attempt to pressure a settlement by threatening frivolous litigation solely to inflate our legal expenses. Additionally, we have reason to believe that Mr. Olcese may have a personal relationship with the defendant and that his legal services were provided without compensation, raising further ethical questions. All I want to do, is settle and pay. I have called over and over. I have left messages. Still nothing. I'm not the one who sent out the settlement letter. So why even send me one? Why are you in business if your not willing to answer the phone and do business. All I can say they suck at their job!
