About Roy C. Filion, Q.C.

Executive Summary

Roy is the firm’s senior partner and one of its founders. He has practised exclusively in the area of labour and employment law for his entire career.

As one of most highly-ranked management-side labour and employment lawyers in Canada, Roy continues to be a principal point of contact for major clients with major matters.

Roy has extensive experience representing employers before the courts, federal and provincial labour boards, arbitration boards, and other administrative tribunals. He also has extensive experience in collective bargaining, mediation and all forms of dispute resolution.

Roy is certified as a Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Upper Canada (now the Law Society of Ontario). He is also one of a select group of Canadian lawyers inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and as a Fellow of the American College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.

Throughout his career, Roy has authored or co-authored many articles, papers and other publications, and he has made numerous presentations on labour and employment law topics.
