Michael Leizerman is a founder of The Law Firm for Truck Safety and a truck accident attorney in Ohio, which handles truck accident litigation across the United States. He is the co-founder of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys (ATAA). He concentrates his practice in select catastrophic injury truck collision cases across the country.
He is the author of the treatise Litigating Truck Accident Cases, published by West Publishing, the world’s largest legal publisher. In this multi-volume work, Michael shares his wealth of experience and knowledge gained through years of trying truck accident cases and lecturing and teaching other attorneys across the country to do the same. He was the first Chair of AAJ’s Trucking Litigation Group. Michael attended truck driving school and obtained his Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License while managing his law practice.
He has taken 16 truck and bus cases to trial since 2002. He has received record-breaking truck accident settlements and verdicts across the country, including multiple verdicts with punitive damages. He has personally received more than 30 verdicts and settlements of $2 million or more, including six settlements and verdicts in excess of $10 million. He has taught and lectured well over 100 times to other lawyers on trucking for continuing legal education.
Michael is also the author of the Trial Guides book The Zen Lawyer: Winning with Mindfulness, published in 2018.
