About Jerry Carter II

Jerry Carter is a commercial real estate and M&A attorney based in Tokyo.

Jerry advises on complex cross-border multi-asset purchase and sale transactions and financing transactions across all key asset classes. He also advises on complex cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures, private equity, and real estate fund formation and investment.

Jerry has represented public and private companies, investment banks, financial institutions, private equity funds, insurance companies, and institutional investors across various industries both inbound into Japan and outbound from Japan.

Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Jerry worked at U.S. law firms in Chicago and Tokyo assisting Asian and European companies to enter, operate, and expand in the United States through M&A, commercial, and real estate transactions.

Jerry has lived in Japan for a number of years and can read, write, and speak the Japanese language. He also lectures at a leading law school in Japan.
