Ms. Rhoden is a transplanted northerner born in Philadelphia and moved to Brevard for her father’s job with Harris Corporation in 1977. She is the youngest of four adopted children and claims her mother is a saint. Bonnie attended Gemini Elementary, Hoover Jr. High, and MCC, finally graduating from Melbourne High. Bonnie graduated Summa Cum Laude from the prestigious Florida Institute of Technology with a psychology major and business minor. (She has since returned to FIT to teach Introduction to Law to undergrad students. Serving as an adjunct Professor was a role she truly enjoyed.) Bonnie proceeded to law school where she graduated among the favorites in her class with an eye on family law and elder issues. She consistently uses her education and experience to better understand how opposing parties behave and how to elicit the best result possible during negotiations, settlement, and litigation.
Bonnie spent over 20 years working in the private sector owning several businesses, such as an answering service and a temporary employment placement service, serving in various roles at the AAA National Headquarters, and working locally for a large credit union. Early in her law career Bonnie worked with a local firm where her husband served as a partner/owner. Then the Rhodens branched out to create Rhoden Law Group, a boutique, custom firm, to serve the community with legal services in new and modern ways. Bonnie found the antiquated methods older attorneys use to manage client work and firm processes in need of changes. People need access to their lawyer not 4 layers of assistants to have a conversation; they need information to make a decision as to who to retain not a quickie consult with an immediate request for payment; and people do not need to pay the legal equivalent of “shipping & handling” in the form of Administrative Fees to pad the pockets of firm owners. Rhoden Law Group is changing these preconceived methods and providing bold, modern, flexible services to clients every day. To Bonnie’s credit her wide background gives her a deep well of experience to draw upon in legal negotiations, the courtroom, and in situations involving complex finances.
