I retained Mr. Davidson in Sept 2022 to do Absolute Divorce and Equitable Distribution that it most likely would be moved to a neighboring county and he said that it was not a problem, He took my money and all he did was the Absolute Divorce. The Absolute Divorce was granted in January and in April Mr. Davidson said that couldn't represent me on the Equitable Distribution because it was being moved to neighboring county I had asked many times that it might to neighboring county and he said that it was not a problem. He is member on the North Carolina Bar as a Councilors and knew that he did not have time to represent in the Equitable Distribution. So he was paid $2,750.00 and all I got was the Absolute Divorce that should have been about $600.00 to $700.00 I filed a complaint with the North Carolina State Bar and with him being on the North Carolina Bar as a Councilors I feel that they took his side. So I would HIGHLY recommend not to retain Mr. Davidson for any thing. Thank You
BEWARE! UNETHICAL LAWYER! After 3 months of being told wrong court dates, having Daryl flat out not show up to our court date, and having our case regularly continued by either Daryl or opposing lawyer, our case was dismissed before ever seeing a judge. Upon request for a refund, or at least a partial refund for services not received, Daryl refused any refund. The moral resolution would be to refund at least some, if not most of the retainer because you never had to defend your client in court, but Daryl Davidson is anything but a lawyer with morals. Like any dishonorable lawyer, Daryl inserted a legal loophole in his contracts to take advantage of his clients by making sure he gets to keep your money whether he does his job or not. In addition to our contract stating our $1,500 retainer was for "a plea to district court," beware that it also states the retainer is "earned upon receipt," which ensures he gets to keep your money whether he submits a plea or NOT.
