John Oldham represented me in a car accident case with a light commercial vehicle. The day he agreed to take my case, I asked what percentage his firm took for handling the case. He told me 33 percent. At the end of the settlement, three years later, he came up with unbelievable flimsy excuses to hold back my portion of the settlement almost $5,000 which equated to him taking 40 percent. He was difficult to reach. He was on vacation 2 out of three times I ever tried to call him. Vacation every several months with his family. He held back settlement money after the first settlement was paid and was theoretically able to make money on this in business investments while I just waited patiently. The man lied to me. This is the bottom line. He did provide a service. He got settlement money, but he could have gotten more stacked (Georgia law) policies to pay my medical bills. I ended up in the hole (a loss) due to ongoing expensive procedures after settlement. He and his firm benefited.
