About Scott Frank

Scott Frank is Of Counsel in the Tampa office of Butler. While Scott handles many cases from inception through the completion of the trial, Scott’s practice is centered on Civil Trial Litigation, specifically in state and federal courts. This includes cases that are referred to Butler during the course of litigation, specifically to be brought to trial.

Scott is a Florida Board Certified Civil Trial attorney. Board Certification is the highest level of evaluation provided by The Florida Bar regarding an attorney’s competence and experience within a specific area of law and that attorney’s professionalism and ethics in law practice. Less than 1.3% of the approximately 84,000 active lawyers in The Florida Bar are designated as Florida Board Certified Civil Trial attorneys.

During the more than 20 years that Scott has been with Butler, he has focused on cases in property coverage, subrogation (recovery and defense), and personal injury liability. However, his Litigation and trial practice include cases involving First-Party Coverage, Third-Party Coverage, Product Liability Losses, Personal Injury Liability, Construction Litigation, Subrogation (recovery and defense), Bad Faith Litigation, Arson/Fraud Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Fair Debt Collection Practices Defense and Chinese Drywall Litigation. Scott also works in our class action department.

Scott earned his law degree from the University of Miami in 1988. He worked diligently, gaining six years of experience before ultimately joining Butler in 1994. Scott’s work takes him throughout the state of Florida, as well as having litigated cases in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean.

Scott maintains an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell .
