About Peter Scaglione, Jr.

Peter Scaglione, Jr., a native of Tampa, Florida, is a seasoned attorney specializing in Matrimonial and Family Law. He has practiced law in Florida since 1977, after earning his B.A. in American History from the University of Tampa and a J.D. from Vermont Law School. Mr. Scaglione has been in solo practice since 1979, handling a wide range of family law cases, from simple matters to complex disputes, throughout his nearly four-decade career. Active in his field, he is a member of the Florida Bar Family Law Section, the American Family Law Inns of Court, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the Florida Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has shared his skills as an adjunct professor at the University of Tampa, St. Leo University, and Hillsborough Community College, and has been a speaker at various legal seminars. Mr. Scaglione, a devout Christian, is closely affiliated with Grace Family Church and Idlewild Baptist Church, bringing a compassionate approach to clients navigating divorce and family law issues. In 1998, he completed mediation training in Family Law through the University of South Florida.

I was blessed to have found the law office of Pete Scaglione. Truly blessed. Without question, having to go through the process of divorce is amazingly difficult. That said, Pete, with the help of his assistant, were patient, thorough, forward thinking, emotionally supportive, direct, and honest with every step in the process. This is a team I would highly recommend for anyone, as they don't sugarcoat it, and push you when needed.

I've trusted Mr. pete Scaglione with ALL of my family-related cases for over 30 years and truly value his opinions and advice on these matters. While he is not the 'ambulance-chaser' type, he is well-known by his reputation and the kind words of the many people he has served. I cannot think of another man with this level of character and integrity in this field, a field of law that is widely known to be the most costly of any law discipline-family law.

Mr. Scaglione and his assistant, Kristy, were extremely professional and compassionate through the process of my divorce. Modifications to divorce decree were made one year later and was taken care of in a reasonable anount of time. I would definitely recommend Mr. Scaglione and his staff and have already done just that.

Retained Pete for a post divorce contempt matter. The opposing attorney was my current wife ex-spouse, who is an attorney. My case was handled unprofessional and not in favor of my best interest. Instead, Pete resolved this matter in the best interest of opposing counsel. Unfortunately, due to his malpractice I am still dealing with this matter 4 years later. The system definitely is a "good oh boys" network, looking out for their best interest not the clients. You would be better off pro se vs. using Pete, you have a greater chance of a favorable outcome. Pete is a disgrace to his profession.
