Mr. Feldman was the founding and managing partner of Feldman, Fox & Morgado, P.A., which later became Feldman Morgado PA, and then Feldman Law Group PA. Mr. Feldman now practices under his new firm: Mitchell Feldman Esq. PA. He was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1965. He graduated from the University of South Florida in 1987 with a BS in Finance; and he earned his Juris Doctorate from top ranked, Emory University, in Atlanta Georgia in 1995. Mr. Feldman became a member of the State Bar of Georgia in 1995 and the Florida Bar in 1996. Since 2000, Mr. Feldman has primarily worked from his main office in Tampa, Florida, but also handles cases throughout Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, and in Federal Courts throughout the U.S. Mr. Feldman has successfully achieved substantial success in large class and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act for overtime wage violations, securing settlements of millions of dollars for thousands of present and former employees against such companies as: Lowe's, Burger King, Fleetmatics, Fleetcor, Payless Shoesource, Avis/Budget, Discrete Wireless, Circle K and others. Mr. Feldman championed the overtime cases of the Human Resrouces Managers of Lowe's against the company bringing about a $10 million dollar settlement, and later a $4.5 million dollar settlement. He also represented a large class of inside sales representatives against FLEETMATICS and resolved the case for $2.1 million dollars, and another case against Payless Sheoesource for $2.9 million dollars.Mr. Feldman is admitted to practice in all State Courts of Florida and Georgia. He is admitted to practice in all Federal District Courts in Florida, and Southern and Northern Federal District Courts in Georgia. He has handled cases in all corners of the State of Florida, both Federal and State. He is also a certified and approved State and Federal Mediator in Florida and Georgia, and a mediator in workers compensation cases.Mr. Feldman is a member of NELA, the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia and the Florida Bar.Mr. Feldman's practice areas are broad in scope, with the emphasis on Employment law and wage and hour violaitions under the FLSA and state wage laws. Mr. Feldman served for several years as lead outside counsel for a large regional telecommunications company, representing the business in cases involving: whistleblower claims, discrimination, unpaid wages, overtime wages under the FLSA, breach of contract, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, tortuous interference of business and contractual relationships, sexual harassment, and fraud. Throughout his general civil litigation and trial practice, Mr. Feldman has handled many large value business lawsuits and other real estate related matters involving $5 million dollars or greater, including lawsuits against several international real estate developers and nationally known large scale insurance companies. Mr. Feldman handles class actions, workers' compensation, personal injury, shareholder, partnership and LLC member disputes and all types of employment law claims.Additionally, Mr. Feldman was has 21 years of civil litigation and trial experience, including going to trial in personal injury cases, workers' compensation cases, employment law cases, and most recently, a Federal minimum wage case: Kubiak v. Salt Water Cowboy Inc., in which he, along with co-counsel Ben Williams, won a hard fought, 4 year lawsuit for 8 former servers to recover minimum wages for tip violations from the company. Mr. Feldman and Mr. Williams secured a jury trial victory for the 8 Plaintiffs. The Jury awarded the former servers, 100% of all wages owed, plus liquidated damages and attorney's fees and costs against the Defendant corporation and all of the business owners in a case in the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville Division.
