It's actually very common to be receiving short-term disability, and a week or two before your long-term disability is to begin, they cut you off. Very gruff and wouldn't fight for additional money even though I felt we could get it because of my medical records and it was due to me. Staff was forgetful and wouldn't call back and secretary changed several times.
He didn't do his job, I did all the paperwork and legwork and when we went to court after 2 years he acted like he didn't know my case! The worst I've ever seen.
I did all the leg work, paperwork and he didn't even know all of my illnesses when we went to court! Needless to say my disability was denied and now I have to find a new lawyer to appeal, after waiting 5 yrs for this hearing.
