Kevin D. Johnson is a shareholder of Johnson Jackson LLC. He has represented management in labor and employment law matters for more than 22 years. He advises companies about laws that affect their relationships with employees; helps solve problems when they arise; and defends companies against EEOC/FCHR charges and lawsuits filed by employees. Kevin believes it is in the best interest of employers to provide assessments of cases early, before incurring unnecessary fees. Based on these assessments, he works to resolve matters at the initial stage, while defending the client’s principles. Kevin has experience litigating cases in jurisdictions throughout the U.S., both in single-plaintiff cases and in nationwide class and collective actions. Kevin is the current chair of The Florida Bar Council of Sections. He is a member of The Florida Bar Strategic Planning Committee. He served as chair of The Florida Bar Special Committee on Technology and Office Resources, and was awarded the President’s Award of Merit by Florida Bar President Greg Coleman in 2015. Kevin has served on the Vision 2016 Technology Subcommittee, the Civil Procedure Rules Committee, and the Executive Council of the Solo and Small Firm Section. Kevin was president of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association in 2013. Kevin regularly presents for The Florida Bar CLE offerings, including giving the Employment Law Update at the Solo and Small Firm Section’s Florida Law Update, and speaking at the Labor and Employment Law Section’s Certification Exam Review. Kevin graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He became board certified in Labor and Employment law by The Florida Bar in 2007, and he has been recognized in the field of employment law by the Best Lawyers in America, Florida Trend and Super Lawyers magazines.
